Bluffton shoots a 352 on day one at Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Bluffton University women's golf team battled windy conditions at Franklin College on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Bluffton is 6th overall, but just eight shots back of third at The Legends Golf Club heading into day two.

Junior Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) battled back from a double bogey on hole one and she leads the Beavers with an 85. Just two strokes back is freshman Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) who carded an 87.

Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) went for 89, while Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) continued the two-stoke staircase with a 91. Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) opened her final tournament as a collegian with a 97 and Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) rounded out Saturday at the Franklin Lady Grizzly Invitational with a 103.

The Bluffton women will wrap up their final tournament before the Heartland Conference championship at The Legends GC on Sunday, April 28.
