The Bluffton women's soccer team lost two close games last week leaving them 1-3 in the Heartland Conference and 3-10 overall this season.

The Beavers' first opponent last week was conference member Manchester College. Katie Kantner, Kristen McCullough and April Leu all scored goals for BC, but Manchester was able to score four goals of their own and win the game 4-3. Recording the assists for BC were Kantner, Natalie Anderson and Rachel Mack.

Shawnee State was Bluffton's next opponent and again the Beavers were edged out by one goal losing 1-0.

The Beavers will look to get some momentum in their last three games before the HCAC tournament. Bluffton next home game pits them against Mount Saint Joseph on Saturday, October 14.
