The Bluffton College athletic department has announced that Ben Simcox, a 1999 Bluffton College graduate and former soccer standout for the Beavers, has been named the new head coach of the BC women's soccer team.

Simcox, a native of Pipersville, Pa. (Central Bucks East H.S.), was a two-year captain for the Bluffton men's soccer team and led the squad in scoring as a senior. He graduated with a degree in food and nutrition.

After spending one year in Mennonite Voluntary Service in Colorado, Simcox returned to Bluffton in 2001 and is currently enrolled at the University of Toledo, where he is pursuing a master's degree in health education.

Simcox will help coordinate the in-season and off-season conditioning programs for both the men's and women's soccer teams and will serve as a recruiter for both teams. He takes over for former head coach Rick Fee, who resigned in July after seven seasons and a school-record 32 wins at Bluffton.
