Beavers battle to a 2-2 tie with the Ursuline Arrows

BLUFFTON, Ohio -The Bluffton University women's soccer team (2-9-1, 1-4) battled Ursuline to a 2-2 tie in double overtime at home on October 18, 2005.  

Freshman ELYSE BURCKHART (Telford, Pa./Sauderton) gave Bluffton the lead with 30 minutes to play in the first half when she converted a penalty kick. That score held up until the last minute of the first half when Julie Wyman from Ursuline tied the game on a header. ALLISON WHITE (Lima/Shawnee) knocked in the Beavers final goal midway through the second half. Ursuline tied the contest at two with five minutes to play and that would be the final score at the end of the overtime periods.

Bluffton will return to action on Saturday, October 22, 2005 when it hosts Hanover in an HCAC contest. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m.
