BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University Women's Soccer team outplayed Grace Bible College, maintaining possession throughout the entire game to earn the 2-0 victory. The Beavers jumped to 3-4 on the season while the Tigers dropped to 3-2-1.

Bluffton attacked the goal from the outset, putting up a great offensive battle and keeping the Grace keeper on her toes. However, it wasn't until the 33rd minute that sophomore BRITTANY HUFF (Union/Northmont) took advantage of a free kick from the far right wing after a Tiger foul for a 1-0 lead.  Bluffton continued to press the defense and ended the first half outshooting Grace by a whopping 18-0 spread.

Bluffton continued to press the issue in the second period with the Beavers pelting Grace to the tune of a considerable 19-1 margin. In the 66th minute the Beavers pushed through the defense, knocking the goalie on her heels by putting two consecutive shots on frame before a final tip-in from freshman TAYLOR COX (Lima/Bath) who netted her first goal on the season. Bluffton continued to control the clock, wrapping up a clear-cut 2-0 victory over the Tigers.

Freshman SKYLAR LIMING (St. Marys/Memorial) and sophomore Brittany Huff led the Bluffton offense with an outstanding 10 and nine shots, respectively, and close behind was freshman ASHLEY KELLER(Piqua/Lehman Catholic) with six shots. Senior keeper ASHLEY KNIPPEN(Wapakoneta) finished the match with just one save as a big shout out goes to the Beaver midfield and defense, keeping the ball on the other half of the field for nearly the entire match. Bluffton ended the afternoon with a one-sided shots advantage of 37-1, including 17-1 on frame.

The Beavers return to the pitch in Circleville, Ohio as they face off against Ohio Christian University at 1 PM this Saturday, Sept. 26.
