Beavers drop 3-0 decision at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team fell to a Muskingum University squad that was hungry for its first win of the season. The Muskies dominated from start to finish for a 3-0 shutout on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021. Bluffton fell to 2-3 on the season, while Muskingum moved to 1-6.

It was the Morgan Meisel show on Saturday as she hit paydirt twice and found Hailey Morgan between her two goals for a five-point afternoon. The home team doubled up Bluffton with 22 shots to 11 for the Beavers. Muskingum was whistled for six more fouls (16-10) and it also forced six of the seven corner kicks during the match.

Junior Taylor Dye (Big Prairie/West Holmes) put all three of her shots on frame. Freshman Brielle Collier (Anna) tallied five saves for the visitors.

Bluffton will jump right back into action on Monday, Sept. 20, when St Mary's College from the MIAA comes to town. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. at the Sears Complex.
