CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Bluffton University women's soccer team traveled to Mount St. Joseph University on a beautiful Wednesday, Oct. 5, but came home with a 2-0 loss. The Beavers dropped to 2-7-1 overall (1-2 HCAC) while the Lions, picked to finish 2nd in the conference, improved to 6-5-2 overall (2-0-1 HCAC).

An offensive drought for Bluffton along with Mount netting a shot in both halves allowed the home team to secure their 2-0 shutout of the Beavers. Senior Nina McGinn (Marion/Harding) fired two shots, both on goal, to power the Bluffton offense. Sophomore keeper Brielle Collier (Anna) tallied eight saves in the loss.

The Lions outshot the Beavers 20-5 (10-3 on goal). MSJ also forced seven more corners (8-1), while both teams were whistled for six fouls.

The women return to their home pitch on Saturday, Oct. 8, when Anderson University makes its way to town. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at the Sears Complex. Go Beavers!
