BLUFFTON, Ohio - Anderson University defeated the Bluffton University women's soccer team 3-1 on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2022. Bluffton fell to 2-8-1 overall and 1-3 in the Heartland Conference, while the Ravens improved to 6-3-2 overall and 3-1 in the HCAC.

The visitors scored twice during a five-minute span late in the half on the way to a 2-0 lead at the break. Freshman Kelsie Gladieux (Northwood/Lake) cut the deficit in half when she headed home a header from senior Nina McGinn (Marion/Harding) just over 12 minutes into the second period.

Anderson tacked on a final goal with less than three minutes to play as the Ravens moved to 3-1 in the conference with their 3-1 victory.

Bluffton was on the wrong end of a 33-8 shot disparity (17-6 on frame). Anderson forced all 12 corner kicks on Saturday, while Bluffton was whistled for one more foul (7-6) than the Ravens.

Sophomore Brielle Collier (Anna) was busy in the net, fending off 12 Anderson shot attempts. Gladieux and McGinn both finished with two shots.

Bluffton will be back at the Sears Complex for a 3:30 p.m. meeting with Earlham College on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022.
