Orr wins shot put at Ohio Northern

Last Friday night the Bluffton College men's and women's indoor track teams attended their first meet of the season at Ohio Northern University. Several BC athletes placed in the top six of their events.

Senior Rick Orr won the shot put with a distance of 47 feet, 5.25 inches. In the men's 500 meter run Chris Mackey placed 5th with a time of 1:11.08. In the men's high jump junior Mark Suter placed 4th with a jump of 5' 11.25". Sophomore Randy Hart competed in the men's pole vault and placed 4th with a height of 11' 5.75".

In the women's 400-meter run freshman Amanda Habegger placed 4th (1:07.76) and freshman Jana Hammer placed 5th (1:12.79).

Overall, the meet provided the team with some competitive practice before starting official meets. The meet was not scored.
