After a long week of hard practice and even a little fun in the sun the Bluffton College track and field squad finished up their spring trip with a competition at Florida A&M University. The weather was beautiful on Friday and Saturday with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80's.

"It was a pretty long week of training and traveling and I think it took its toll on the athletes in this meet," said Coach Derek Stanley. "You could tell they were running tired."

Notable performances on the men's side came from Kevin Ross who PR'd again in the shot put, throwing 42-6, as well as the discus, throwing 125-0. Ben Osterland ran a 55.68 in the 400-meter dash and Fred Yoder put it together in the pole vault and cleared 12-5, good for eighth place.

On the women's side, Amanda Habegger continued her improvement in the 400-meter dash, running a season PR of 64.43, as well as running less than a second off the school record in the 400m hurdles (71.20). Rachael Szydlowski PR'd in the 1500 meter run finishing in 5:43.80. Finally, Rachel Noirot continued her record breaking performances in the pole vault finishing seventh with a vault of 7-5.
