Clint Dillon named HCAC player of week for second time

BLUFFTON , OHIO - Senior CLINT DILLON (McAllen , TX /Bucyrus) has been named player of the week for the Heartland Conference in men's track for the week ending May 2, 2004 .

Dillon placed second overall in the pole vault last Saturday at the Division I Butler University Twilight meet. He posted a vault of 15'5". It was the third time during the outdoor season that he has cleared the national qualifying mark. Dillon is currently ranked eleventh in the nation in the event.

"Clint's really starting to put it together in the vault right now," head coach Nate Smith said. "We were pleased with his performance on Saturday and realized that new heights are easily obtainable at this point. I'm glad to see him clearing mid-fifteen's (15 foot) on a consistent basis now."

Dillon was named the HCAC player of the week on March 29th for breaking his own school record and qualifying for the NCAA DIII National Championships.
