ADA, Ohio - The Bluffton University track and field team participated in the Ohio Northern Friday Night Series Meet on Feb 11. Both the men and women's teams finished sixth in the meet.

On the women's side junior STEPHANIE WELCH (Berne, Ind./South Adams) placed first in the high jump with a jump of 5' 1.75''. Welch also placed fifth in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:29.21.Freshman SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) placed eighth in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:29.36 and junior JENNIFER CREAMER(Westerville/Westerville South) placed ninth with a time of 5:30.03.

For the men's team junior BEN DODDS (West Liberty/Bellefontaine) placed fourth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.83. Sophomore JOHNNY ICHRIST (Toledo/Whitmer) placed fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:07.38 and freshman PETER HUSTED(Carrollton/Carrollton) finished sixth with a time of 2:09.68. In the weight throw freshman REX BROWN finished at fourth place with a distance of 28' 00.75'' and junior CHRIS DUBENION(Westerville/Westerville South) finished fifth with a distance of 25'11. 00'.

Bluffton's next meet will be at the All- Ohio championships at Ohio Northern on Feb. 12.
