BLUFFTON, Ohio - Sophomore REX BROWN (Wauseon/Pettisville) was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 19, 2006.

Brown paced the Beavers at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational on Saturday, March 18. He placed first in the javelin with a throw of 49.57 meters. Rex also finished second in the discus with a toss of 37.06 meters. It was Bluffton's first meet of the 2006 outdoor season.

The Beavers return to action on Saturday, March 25, 2006 when they travel to Defiance College to compete in the Dick Small Invitational.
