Beaver Invitational Track & Field Meet

Saturday April 1, 2006

  • We will be using online entry process. You must use Hy-tek team manager or team manager lite downloaded from the Hy-tek webpage. We will email the event file the week prior to the meet.

  • There is no limit on your entries for this meet.

  • Entries are due Wednesday, March 29 at noon.

  • Any scratches or changes must be made by Thursday at 9:00pm.

  • Scratches only on the day of the meet. The races will not be re-seeded on

    Saturday.

  • Please enter FAT times or converted hand-times.

    Entry-Fee:

  • The entry-fee will be $75.00 per team or $150.00 for both teams or $10.00 per individual. (unlimited events)

  • Please make checks payable to Bluffton University.

    Scoring:

• This will be a scored meet. We will score 6 places using NCAA scoring: 10-8-6- 4-2-1.

Spikes:

• 1/4 inch exposed spike is allowed on all track surfaces.

Facilities:

• The track, long jump, pole vault and high jump run ways are all Polytan track surfaces. The track was resurfaced in 2003 and is in excellent condition. The javelin runway is grass located across the street. Throwing circles are concrete. The shotput area is located at the main entrance to the stadium complex, while the discus and hammer throw cages are located behind the home bleachers.

Events:

• Heats will be seeded according to time. If there are multiple heats we will run fast to slow.

  • Field event athletes will receive 4 throws or 4 jumps. There will be no finals contested in the field events.

  • Weigh-in for throwing implements will be from 9:30-11:00am.

  • Starting blocks will be furnished; however, teams are welcome to bring their own.

    Results:

  • Results will be posted during the meet. They will be posted on the wall underneath the stadium.

  • Results will be available on-line 45-60 min. after the conclusion of the meet.

    Restrooms & Locker Rooms:

• Restrooms are available at the stadium. Locker rooms and the training room are located back in the middle of campus at our main gymnasium building.

Parking:

• Parking is available adjacent to the baseball diamond or in the small gravel lot next to the track.
