Beavers compete in All-Ohio Championships

Three members of the Bluffton University track and field team traveled to Otterbein on Saturday, February 10, 2007, to face off against the best athletes in the state at the All-Ohio Championships.

Senior standout SHANDON NORTH (Galion/Galion) brought home the best finish of the day for the Beavers, a third place showing in the 400 meters. His time of 50.90 was less than a second behind champion Cory Beebe's (Heidelberg) winning sprint of 50.19 seconds.

Junior distance specialist SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) placed 12th in the 5000 meters with a time of 19:47.86 while sophomore ASHLEY SMITH (Delta/Delta) ran a 1:05.46 for 16th in the 400 meters on the women's side.

The entire men's and women's track and field team will be back in action on Friday, February 16, 2007, when it travels to Ohio Northern for the next Friday Night Series Meet.
