Men place 11th at All-Ohio Championship

DELAWARE, Ohio - The Bluffton University track and field team traveled to Ohio Wesleyan University for the Division III All-Ohio Track and Field Championships on Wednesday, April 18, 2007. The men finished the meet with 25 points, placing them 11th out of 18 teams.

Freshman JASON FISHER (Rockford/Parkway) continued his string of outstanding performance this spring, scoring in four different field events. In the shot put, Fisher's toss of 47' 01" earned him second place. He finished third in the discus with a throw of 142' 01" while also placing fifth in the hammer throw (141' 11) and eighth in the javelin (147' 1").

Junior REX BROWN (Wauseon/Pettisville) was the only other Beaver to score at the All-Ohio meet. He continued his success in the javelin with a third place finish thanks to his toss of 161' 10".

Members of the Bluffton University track and field team will return to action at Manchester, Indiana, this Saturday, April 21, 2007.
