Beaver Invitational Track & Field Meet Saturday March 29th, 2008

Meet Information:

Entries:

  • Entry Deadline is Wednesday, March 26 at 6:00pm

  • Please use Hy-tek team manager or team manager lite downloaded from the Hy-

    tek webpage for your meet entries. We will email the event file the week prior to

    the meet. Please let me know if do not have Meet Manager or Meet Manager Lite.

  • There is no limit on your entries for this meet.

  • Any scratches or changes must be made by Thursday at 9:00pm.

  • Scratches only on the day of the meet.

  • Heat sheets will be posted online by Friday at 3pm

    Entry-Fee:

    • The entry-fee will be $80.00 per team or $160.00 for both teams. $10.00 per individual. (unlimited events)

    • Please make checks payable to Bluffton University. Competing Teams:

• Albion (women only), Bluffton University, Defiance College, Huntington College Scoring:

• We will score 6 places using NCAA scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1. Spikes:

• 1/4 inch exposed spike is allowed on all track surfaces. Facilities:

• The track, long jump, pole vault and high jump run ways are all Polytan track surfaces. The javelin runway is grass located across the street. Throwing circles are concrete. The shotput area is located at the main entrance to the stadium complex, while the discus and hammer throw cages are located behind the home bleachers.

Timing:

• Finish Lynx Events:

  • Heats will be seeded according to time. If there are multiple heats we will run fast to slow.

  • Field event athletes will receive 4 throws or 4 jumps. No Finals.

  • Weigh-in for throwing implements will be from 9:30-10:45am.

  • Starting blocks will be furnished; however, teams are welcome to bring their own.

    Results:

    • Results will be posted during the meet. They will be posted on the wall underneath the stadium.

    • Results will be available on-line 45-60 min. after the conclusion of the meet.

Restrooms & Locker Rooms:

• Restrooms are available at the stadium. Locker rooms and the training room are located back in the middle of campus in Burcky and Founders. The two buildings are connected.

Parking:

• Parking is available adjacent to the baseball diamond or in the small gravel lot next to the track.

Directions to campus from Interstate 75

Traveling south on I-75:

Take exit 142 and turn right (west) onto State Route 103. At the first stop sign, turn left onto Main Street. At the first stop light turn right onto Elm St. Follow this for about a mile. You will pass campus and come to a stop sign. The track stadium will be across the street on the right.

Traveling north on I-75:

Take exit 140 and turn left (west) onto Bentley Road. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Main Street. At the 3rd stop light turn left onto Elm St. Follow this for about a mile. You will pass campus and come to a stop sign. The track stadium will be across the street on the right.
