Johnson and Fisher break school records at Findlay

FINDLAY, Ohio - The Bluffton University track and field teams competed in the Northwest Ohio Invite at the University of Findlay on Friday, January 22, 2010.

Leading the men on the track was senior ROB JOHNSON (Columbus/Marion Franklin) who placed second in the 60 meter dash (6.96) and seventh in the 200 meters with a time of 22.99, breaking the school record in the process. Also placing for the Beavers was senior JASON FISHER (Rockford/Parkway), who took seventh in the shot put (49-01.50) and eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 55-11.75, which also established a new school record.

Pacing the Bluffton women was senior SARAH BINKLEY (Bluffton/Cory-Rawson), who placed seventh in the 400 meters (1:12.48).  The 4 x 400 meter relay team of BINKLEY, juniors DONELLE PARKER (Painesville/Thomas W. Harvey) and MEGAN KOCH (Elida/Elida), along with freshman ELIZABETH BROWN (Edon/Edon), placed sixth with a time of 4:45.68.

The Bluffton indoor track and field season continues on Friday, January 29, 2010, when the Beavers return to the University of Findlay for a two-day competition. The meet is slated to start at 3:30 p.m.
