Jason Fisher wins weight throw and places third in shot put

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Bluffton University track and field teams competed at the Fred Wilt Memorial Invitational hosted by Anderson University. The men placed ninth out of 17 teams.

Leading the Beavers was senior JASON FISHER (Rockford/Parkway) who placed first in weight throw (17.04m) and third in shot put (15.19m). Fisher's toss in the weight throw provisionally qualified him for the upcoming national meet. Also scoring for the men was senior ROBERT JOHNSON (Columbus/Marion Franklin) who placed second in the 55m dash (6.51).
 
Senior BEN SIEBERT (Celina) also competed for the men and placed 23rd in the 800m (2:16.07) and 37th in the one mile (5:08.02).

Competing for the women were seniors DONELLE PARKER (Painesville/Thomas W. Harvey) and SARAH BINKLEY (Bluffton/Cory-Rawson). Parker placed 14th in the 55m dash (8.34) and 19th in the 200m dash (30.43). Binkley took 14th in the 400m dash (1:13.94) and 22nd in the 200m dash (30.76).
