Bluffton competes in Capital Crusader Invite

BEXLEY, Ohio - The Bluffton University track and field teams competed in the Crusader Invitational, hosted by Capital University on February 11, 2011. The men placed 10th and women placed 9th overall. Otterbein University took first on the men's side while Ohio State University placed first on the women's.

Pacing the men was freshman RONNELL ARMSTRONG (Bexley), who claimed fifth in the 60m dash (7.40) eighth in the 200m dash (24.72). Also scoring for the Beavers was junior SETHHERTENSTEIN (St. Marys/Memorial), who placed fifth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:21.6.

Leading the women was junior ALLISON TRENT (Orrville/Smithville), who placed fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 42-04.75. Rounding out the Bluffton women was junior MEGAN NEAL (Arlington), who took fifth in the weight throw (42-03.25), and freshman BRANDI DOMINIQUE (Wauseon), who finished fifth in the 800 meters (2:40.33) and sixth in the one mile (6:03.64).

The Beavers will be back in action on Saturday, February 19, when they travel to Anderson University to compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
