DELAWARE, Ohio - The Bluffton track and field team competed at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday, April 14 at Ohio Wesleyan University. The steady rain and chilly temperatures proved challenging to the track team.

Leading the women was senior MEGAN NEAL (Arlington). With a toss of 43.53 meters (142'10 feet), Neal placed 6th overall in the hammer throw.

On the men's side, freshman JEFF PARKER (Bristol, Ind./Northridge) placed 4th in the javelin with a throw of 46.92 meters (153'11 feet). Also highlighting for the men was senior ANDY CHAFFEE (Clarkston, Mich.) who ran a lifetime best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:10.38.

The Bluffton track and field team will have its final tune-up meet before the conference championship next weekend at Baldwin-Wallace College. The hammer throw will be contested on Friday, April 20, while the rest of the competition will take place on Saturday, April 21.
