Shultz named All-Heartland Conference

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Senior BRITTANY SHULTZ (Hudson, Ind./Prairie Heights) has been named second team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the 2006 season.

 

Shultz, a three-year starter at setter for the Beavers, improved each season, tallying a career-high 816 assists (7.29 APG) as a senior. She led Bluffton with 68 aces which was also a career-high. Defensively, Shultz picked up 193 digs and she helped the team at the net with 54 kills and 11 total blocks.

For her career, Shultz set up Beaver hitters with 2,083 assists for a 6.02 assists per game average, both fourth-best in Bluffton history. Shultz pounded 213 kills with 94 blocks during her four years at Bluffton. She also ended her play as a Beaver with 640 digs and 143 service aces.

Shultz was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts at the Goshen Maple Leaf Invitational. She ended the weekend with 134 assists, 10 service aces, 17 kills and 25 digs in four matches.
