Bluffton Volleyball shows off in the classroom

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The success the volleyball team produced on the court carried over into the classroom where the Beavers collectively earned a 3.44 team GPA. Coach Yarnell commented, "It is evident that our young ladies work hard on and off the court to ensure success in everything that they do. Their dedication to their studies and passion for the sport of volleyball makes them wonderful examples of a what is means to be a student-athlete."

Nine members of the team made the Dean's List (3.6 GPA or higher): Kristen Beck (Paulding/Paulding), Bethany Behnfeldt (Napoleon/Napoleon), Lauren Hoffman (Dunkirk/Hardin Northern), Kristyn Hovest (Gilboa/Pandora-Gilboa), Lindsay Krohn (Marysville, Ind./New Washington), Mackenzie Lauber (Mansfield/Madison), Dana Otto (Leipsic/Miller City), Hailey Phillips (Malinta/Patrick Henry), Heather Schierer (Crescent Springs, Ky./St. Henry). Six other players also finished the semester with a GPA above the 3.0 mark. 

The team awards were also announced at the season ending banquet held Sunday, January 6.
