BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University volleyball team is looking forward to a competitive 2014 schedule. For the second year in a row, the Beavers will kick off their campaign by hosting the Sommer Center Spiketacular on opening weekend (August 29-30). Bluffton also hosts the OAC/HCAC Challenge which will take place on September 19-20.

Rather than the typical two additional tournaments, the Beavers have three on their schedule. In the weeks between the Sommer Center Spiketacular and OAC/HCAC Challenge, Bluffton will be travelling to LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, Penn. on September 5-6 and The College of Wooster on September 12-13. The Beavers will also trek to Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. to play on October 31 and November 1 against national-level competition before the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.

Bluffton's HCAC schedule will kick open with a home match against Transylvania on September 27. The Beavers are excited to have nine home dates on their schedule, two more than they had a season ago.

Bluffton is coming off its second NCAA tournament appearance in five seasons after winning the HCAC tournament despite sneaking in as the #6 seed. Head Coach Steve Yarnell has his sights set on yet another deep tournament run in 2014 when the Beavers take the court for his 10th season at the helm.
