BLUFFTON , OHIO - Senior first baseman KYLE ALBERSON ( Berne , Ind. /South Adams ) has broken two more career baseball records in the Beavers 22-17 defeat last night at Capital University .

Alberson broke the career RBI record by hitting a three-run homer in the game to take his career total to 107 RBI's. He also broke the career total base record by reaching the base three times last night, taking his career total to 251. The two former records were held by Matt Henderson who played for the Beavers from 1987-90. Henderson posted 104 RBI's for his career and 248 total bases.

"Kyle is an outstanding hitter. He struggled early, but worked hard and is starting to see the ball well," head coach James Grandey said. "Kyle's breaking the career records show his consistency as a hitter over the past four years."

Alberson already owns the career homerun record (31) and the season homerun record by belting out ten last year. He has been selected as All-Heartland Conference the past two years.  For the season Alberson leads the Beavers in runs (16), doubles (7), RBI's (24), total bases (51), homeruns (7) and slugging percentage (.718). He currently posts a .324 batting average with 23 hits on the season.

The Beavers will be back in action this Friday and Saturday when they play rival Defiance College . Friday's game will be played at home with a 3 pm start time. On Saturday Bluffton will travel to Defiance to finish the series with a doubleheader. Start time is scheduled for noon .
