BLUFFTON, Ohio - Senior RYAN FIELY (Greenville/Greenville) has been selected as the Heartland Conference's baseball hitter-of-the-week. Fiely helped the Beavers pick up their first HCAC series win of the year over Hanover College.

Overall, the team went 2-2 on the week as they lost one game at Ohio Northern and the first game of the HCAC series at Hanover. Fiely went 9-for-18 overall in the week and 6-for-13 in the three game conference series at Hanover. He posted two home runs, one double, five runs scored and seven RBI's over four games.

"Ryan is very deserving of this award. He struggled early on and has started to swing the bat very well as this honor reflects," head coach James Grandey said. "He is one of our best offensive players."

Fiely is batting .309 for the season with 23 RBI's and 18 runs scored. He leads the team with 34 hits, eight doubles, three home runs, 23 RBI's and 51 total bases.

The Bluffton University baseball team (7-24, 4-11 HCAC) will be back in action this Wednesday, April 27, when they host Capital University. The single non-conference game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
