BLUFFTON, Ohio - Sophomore shortstop A.J. RAMTHUN (Springfield/Southeastern) was recently named Hitter of the Week in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference after leading Bluffton to a 3-1 record, including a series victory over conference-leading Transylvania.

A.J. Ramthun had a near-perfect week at the plate, going 10-of-13 (.769 batting average) with three doubles and a home run. In Bluffton's 2-1 series victory over Transy, Ramthun blasted the Pioneers pitching with a 7-for-8 performance. He scored eight runs against Transylvania and drove in nine for the week.

The Beavers host Manchester College on Tuesday, April 29, and then they finish the season with a three-game Heartland Conference series against Anderson University. Tuesday's contest with the Spartans is slated to start at 4:30 p.m.
