BLUFFTON, Ohio - Junior Jeremy Anderson (South Rockwood, Mi./Airport) has been named football Player-of-the-week on defense in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the week ending Oct. 23, 2005.
Anderson picked off two Hanover passes deep in Beaver territory as Bluffton came away with a 33-19 victory over the Panthers on October 22. His first interception halted a Panther drive on a first-and-goal play from the Beaver's three-yard line. His second interception also ended a Hanover drive that was threatening to put points on the board. He finished the game with six tackles, including two TFL's. Anderson has 42 tackles and he leads the HCAC with five interceptions this season.
The Beavers now stand at 3-4, 2-1 HCAC for the season and they will host the Mount St. Joseph Lions on Saturday, October 29 in a match-up of conference leaders. Kickoff at Bluffton is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Dwight Salzman Stadium.
