The Bluffton College men's basketball team improved to 4-2 with a decisive 95-68 victory over Denison University last Wednesday night in Founders Hall. BC will return to action Saturday evening, December 16 as Goshen College invades Founders Hall. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.

Four Bluffton players hit for double figures against Denison, led by senior Jeremy Roberts (Bucyrus/Wynford) with 22 points to move into eighth place on the BC all-time scoring list with 1,357 career points. Roberts scored 17 points in the second half to help the Beavers hold off a strong run in the second half by the Big Red.

Junior Rod Overmyer (Payne/Wayne Trace H.S.) added 21 points and seven rebounds, while senior Chad Cramer (Bellevue) and junior Travis Elsass (Wapakoneta/Jackson Center) chipped in 13.

Bluffton shot 53% from the floor in the game and forced 28 Denison turnovers. The Big Red made all eight of their free throws but were outscored at the charity stripe 21-8.

The Beavers built a gradual lead in the first half on their way to a 44-24 halftime lead. Early in the second half BC went up by as many as 27 points, but Denison closed the game to 14 points with 8:33 left in the game. Bluffton pulled away at the end, however, for their 27-point victory.

Following the Goshen game on Saturday night, Bluffton will travel to Earlham College on Wednesday, December 20 for a 7:30 game broadcast on WDOH 107.1 FM.
