The Bluffton College men's basketball team dropped a visiting Goshen College squad by 19 points in Founders Hall Saturday night to improve to 5-2 on the season. The Beavers shot 54% from the floor on their way to a 105-86 win that marks the fourth straight victory on the season for BC.

Three Bluffton players scored at least 20 points led by senior Jeremy Roberts (Bucyrus/Wynford) and junior Rod Overmyer (Payne/Wayne Trace) who scored 21 points each. Junior Travis Elsass (Wapakoneta/Jackson Center) accounted for 20 points and senior Chris Sheldon (Bucyrus/Wynford) chipped in 10 points.

Goshen's Jeremy Budreau scored a game-high 25 points.

BC earned a 41-31 rebounding edge and shot 80% from the free throw line (20-25).

Bluffton took an 18 point halftime lead and went up by 24 points with five minutes gone by in the second half. A 12-2 Goshen run midway through the second half cut the lead to 12 at 79-67, but Bluffton pulled away with a 10-0 run of their own with six minutes to play to put the game out of reach.

Senior Chad Cramer (Bellevue) nearly registered a double-double, as he collected nine points and nine rebounds. He added three assists and a blocked shot and did not commit a turnover. Sheldon also had an impressive floor game with five rebounds and seven assists with just one turnover. He was 2-3 from three point range.

Bluffton will travel to Earlham College next Tuesday night for a 7:30 p.m. game that will be broadcast on WDOH 107.1 FM.
