Coole named HCAC Player of the Week

Bluffton College senior Ben Coole (Butler/Clear Fork H.S.) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week as he led BC to a pair of victories over the HCAC's top two teams.

Last Wednesday he scored a career high 34 points and collected nine rebounds as BC topped Manchester 94-87. Coole was 16-21 from the free throw line and added four assists in that game.

Then on Saturday, he led Bluffton to an 82-77 win over 21st-ranked Hanover College by scoring 24 points and adding three rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots.

Bluffton is now 10-4 overall and 2-2 in the HCAC. Coole is averaging 11.1 points per game to go along with 4.6 rebounds per game, 13 blocks and 22 assists.

Bluffton will be on the road for their next four games before returning to Founders Hall on January 31 to take on the College of Mount St. Joseph from Cincinnati. BC will be at Franklin College on Wednesday and at Thomas More College on Saturday.
