Leimeister named HCAC Player of the Week

Bluffton College senior Mike Leimeister (Collins, Ohio/Edison H.S.) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference player-of-the-week.

Leimeister led the Beavers to three wins last week and was named the most-valuable-player of the Fifth Annual McDonald's of Bluffton Holiday Tournament. In those three games he combined for 82 points and 26 rebounds and shot .667 from the field.

In an 86-79 win over Madonna last Monday Leimeister scored 23 points on 7-for-13 shooting and added 11 rebounds and three assists. A day later, in a 69-62 win over Muskingum he scored 30 points on 11-for-13 shooting, including 4-for-5 from 3-point range, and added nine rebounds and two assists.

Then on Saturday in a 77-69 win at Adrian Leimeister scored 29 points on 10-for-16 shooting and added six rebounds and three steals. For the week he collected a total of seven assists, four steals and three blocked shots to go along with this point and rebound total.

Leimeister is leading the HCAC in scoring at 24.7 points per game and is second in rebounding at 7.9 per game.
