The Bluffton University men's basketball team had an outstanding semester in the classroom, ending the fall with 12 players above 3.0 for the semester. Seven Beavers were named to the Dean's List (3.6 and above) for the 2011 Fall semester, while five other student-athletes finished the semester with a grade point average that exceeded 3.0 during the fall.

Being named to the Dean's List were seniors NATE HECKELMAN (Norwalk) and STEVEN SWICK (Elida). Four sophomores were recognized on the Dean's List: JON FOWLER(Cincinnati/St. Xavier), DUSTIN KINN (Alvada/New Riegel), BLADE TACKETT(Crestline/Colonel Crawford) and MATT WEISENBORN (Bowling Green/Otsego). Freshman RYAN EBBESKOTTE (Ft. Jennings/Delphos Jefferson) was also named to the Dean's List following his first semester at Bluffton.

"We are pleased with, and proud of, our team's academic performance during the fall semester," stated Coach Neal. "Our players are student-athletes in every facet of the word and we stress this a great deal within our total basketball program here at Bluffton." Coach Neal expects his players to be leaders in the classroom and the results speak for themselves.
