Bluffton scores a 330 and 331 on day one of Beaver Classic

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University Men's Golf Team continued its marathon weekend with a 330 and a 331 on day one of the Beaver Golf Classic. Saturday, Sept. 19 marked the second of three straight days of competition for the men who traveled to Jackson, Mich. on Friday. The split squads turned out to be very competitive as they were separated by just one stroke.

Sophomore Nathan Eberle (Grove City) paced the Beavers with a 79 on day one. Three Beavers checked in with 82's, including Spencer Daniels (Ashland), Clay Quellhorst (St Marys/Memorial) and Justin Metsker (Burbank/Wickliffe). One stroke back at 83 were Dharmarak Dawrat (Nonthaburi, Thailand) and Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario). Takoda Pratt (Mansfield/Shelby) chipped in with an 84 on Saturday. Carter Mumbower (Newport, MI/Airport) rounded out his squad's scorers with an 86.

Bluffton will shift to Hidden Creek on Sunday for day two of the Beaver Classic. The men will tee off shortly after noon on Sunday.
