Bluffton consistent on day one of HCAC Preview

The Bluffton University men's golf team was outstanding on day one of the HCAC Preview at Hidden Creek Golf Club on Saturday, April 17, 2021. On a day when Bluffton hosted golf, baseball, softball and football, the men's team fired a 309 with all five individuals posting scores of 77 or 78. The 309 was just one stroke off the school record for 18 holes!

Nick Offenburger (Lexington), Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) and Spencer Daniels (Ashland) all rocked the course with identical scores of 77. Takoda Pratt (Shelby) and Nathan Eberle (Grove City) were just a stroke back at 78.

Leading 'Team B' on Saturday was Justin Metsker (Burbank/Wickliffe) who was nipping ath their heels with a 79. Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer), Carter Mumbower (Newport, MI/Airport), Michael Fimiani (Willoughby) and Julian LaVallee (Jefferson/Jefferson Area).

Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) and Dharmarak Dawrat (Nonthaburi, Thailand) were on target Saturday, going 77 and 79, respectively, while Brady Johnston (Delphos/Jefferson) rounded the Beaver squad with a 105 at Hidden Creek.

Bluffton will play its final round prior to the Heartland Conference Championships when the Beavers tee it up at 10 AM on Sunday, April 18, for day two of the HCAC Preview at Hidden Creek.
