Bluffton opens up fall slate with 323 at ONU

HARROD, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's golf team teed it up for the first time this fall with a short trip to the Polar Bear Invitational on a beautiful Sunday, Sept. 5. Bluffton took fifth with a 323, just 6 strokes off the low score shot on Sunday.

Junior Nathan Eberle (Grove City) paced the Beavers with a 79. Spencer Daniels (Ashland) and Hunter Joliff (Elida) were just off the pace with rounds of 80 and 81, respectively.

A trio of Beavers: Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario), Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) and Nick Offenburger (Lexington) carded identical 82's on Sunday.

The Beavers will return to Colonial Golf Club on Monday for a second installment hosted by Ohio Northern University before wrapping up a four-day, three-round blitz at Eagle Rock Golf Club in Defiance on Wednesday, Sept. 8.
