Beavers show off depth at Bluffton Spring Invite

BEAVERDAM, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's golf team showed off its incredible depth by placing 3rd and 4th out of 14 teams at the first Bluffton Spring Invitational. The 627 and 630 put up by the two squads are two of the top five 36-hole scores in school history!

Throwing a 151 on the scoreboard for the weekend, junior Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) knotted his own school record that he already shared with Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial)! He led the Beavers with a 4th place finish on his home turf. His counterpart on the first team, senior Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario), went 79-75 for a 154.

Castelvetere's crew was on fire Sunday, getting it done with a 310 thanks to four scores between 77 and 82. Seniors Spencer Daniels (Ashland) and Nick Offenburger (Lexington) both carded 156's, while Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) and Quellhorst chipped in with identical scores of 157.

Hunter Jolliff (Elida) finished with a 163, one stroke in front of Justin Metsker (Burbank/Wickliffe) and Nathan Eberle (Grove City).

The Bluffton men jump back into action on Saturday, April 9, when they travel to the College of Wooster for the Nye Collegiate.
