Beavers bounce back on day two at HCAC

HARRISON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's golf team started to make its move on day two of the Heartland Conference championships, slipping past Mount St. Joseph into sixth place. Bluffton shaved 17 strokes off its Friday score, putting a 319 on the board after the 336 carded in round one.

HCAC Men's Golfer of the Week Nathan Eberle (Grove City) returned to form with a 77 and and he is tied with Spencer Daniels (Ashland) atop the Bluffton leaderboard with a 160 through two rounds. Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) and Nick Offenburger (Mansfield/Lexington) went 80 and 83, respectively, after shooting identical scores of 86 on Friday. Freshman Hunter Jolliff (Elida) followed with an 88 after shooting an 87 in round one.

The final round of the 2022 Heartland Conference championships is slated to go off at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 1. Jolliff will kick off five straight Bluffton tee times from the Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Club at 10:45 a.m. CLICK HERE to follow along with live scoring on Sunday.
