FLORENCE, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team opened the HCAC Preview with a solid round of 312 on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022. Also known as the Battle of Belterra at the Belterra Resort, the HCAC Preview features eight conference schools along with four other non-league powers.

The Beavers trail tournament leader Transylvania by just 12 strokes, finishing day one in seventh place, ahead of Franklin, Earlham, MSJ and Anderson. Senior Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) stands 6th after a three-over par 74 on Sunday. He has yet to shoot higher than a 76 through three rounds this fall.

Fellow senior Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) is just two strokes back with a 76 in round one. Hunter Jolliff (Elida) and Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) both shot 81 on Sunday, while Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) carded an 85.

Bluffton will be back at Belterra on Monday at 8:30 a.m. for the final round of the HCAC Preview.
