Beavers cap off 2022 at Fall Classic

Bluffton, Ohio – The Bluffton University men's golf team wrapped up its fall slate at day two of the Beaver Fall Classic on Sunday, Oct. 16. Two five-man squads suited up for Bluffton, the first placing fifth overall with a 648 and the second placing 10th with a 683.

Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) powered the Beavers with a 147 to secure a first-place tie as well as break his own school record by two strokes. Kujawa rallied from six strokes down to force a playoff before falling to Wooster's Krishang Nayak on the first extra hole Sunday afternoon. His 71 ties Kujawa for 6th all-time at Bluffton (18 holes).

Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) found himself in the top 15 with a 161 to tie for 14th. Hunter Joliff (Elida) made the top 25 with a 164 and a tie for 23rd. Rounding out the Beaver scorecards for the first team was Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) shooting a 176 and Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) with a 179.

Team two for the Beavers was led by Nathan Eberle (Grove City), shooting a 165. Spencer Daniels (Ashland) was just four swings back with a 169. Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) finished his fall campaign with a 177. Wrapping up the Bluffton scorers were Justin Metsker (Burbank/Wickliffe) and Nick Offenburger (Lexington) who went 179 and 180, respectively.

The men's golf team will return to the links for competition in March of 2022 following another record-breaking fall campaign. Go Beavers!
