Beavers cap off Kuhn Invite with 311 on Monday

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Bluffton University men's golf team shave 15 strokes off its Sunday score with a solid round of 311 on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023. The Beavers placed 10th in an outstanding field that was topped by NCAA Division II Gannon University.

Leading the Bluffton men was graduate student Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) who shot a one-over par 73 which gave him a 148 for the tournament. It is 2nd all-time for 36 holes and gives Kujawa the top four scores (147, 148, and 149 twice) in Bluffton men's golf history! He finished in a tie for 15th overall.

Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) was also firing on all cylinders Monday, shooting a 76 which gave him a 157 at the Country Club of Meadville. Fellow junior Hunter Jolliff (Elida) went 80-81 for a total of 161.

Freshman Carson Brubaker (Shelby) found the course much more to his liking on day two, shaving nine strokes off his Sunday score with an 81. Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) also bettered his Sunday finish with an 88 at the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational.

Bluffton will jump right back into action on Saturday, Sept. 30, when it hosts the Beaver Fall Classic. The annual two-day event will feature both men and women at the Bluffton Golf Club.
