Beavers play 27 holes on Sunday

HARRISON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's golf team was shelved on Saturday due to weather, but it was back on the links for a long Sunday, Sept. 29, when the Beavers teed it up for 27 holes at Miami Whitewater Golf Course. The men took 9th place with a 330 and 166 for total of 496 on Sunday.

Freshman Gavin Ferguson (Burbank/Norwayne) and junior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) both led the Beavers with a total of 119 for the 27 holes. Macke shot a team-best 78 for the first 18, while Ferguson led the way with a 39 on the final nine holes.

Freshmen Jackson Eichler (Atwater/Waterloo) and Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) followed with identical scores of 125 at the Stateline Shootout. Sophomore Carson Brubaker (Shelby) followed with a 128, while Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) and Drake Sommer (Montpelier) rounded out the scoring with 129 and 131, respectively.

Bluffton will cap off its fall slate with the Beaver Fall Classic at Bluffton Golf Club on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6.
