Bluffton caps off weekend at Beaver Classic

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's golf team wrapped up its home tournament with identical scores of 336 by the 'A' squad and the 'B' squad on a beautiful Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024. For the tournament, only 12 strokes separated the friendly rivals (665 and 677).

Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) shot a team-low 79 on Sunday, while Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington), Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) and Jackson Eichler (Atwater/Waterloo) all put up identical scores of 83 at the Bluffton Golf Club.

Drake Sommer (Montpelier) and Matthew Owen (Lima/Shawnee) followed with rounds of 85 and just off their pace were Carson Brubaker (Shelby) and Sergio Muniz (Milwaukee, Wis./Nathan Hales) with a pair of 87's. Freshman Gavin Ferguson (Burbank/Norwayne) rounded out the scoring with a 90 on Sunday.

Gerber's 155 at the Beaver Fall Classic marks the best 36-hole score for the men this fall! Wyant and Brubaker carded 163 and 164, respectively, for the weekend, finishing in the top half of the tournament field.

The Bluffton men tied on a bow on their fall slate and they will now prepare for part two of the season, starting in March of 2025.
