Mens soccer loses tough OT game Tues., falls to 1-3 Sat

The Bluffton College men's soccer team was defeated in overtime against Defiance College on Tuesday and lost again on Saturday to Rochester College dropping the Beavers to 1-3 on the season.

 

Bluffton took a 2-0 lead into the locker room at halftime but saw a visiting Defiance squad score three unanswered goals to take a 3-2 victory in overtime. BC sophomore Caspar Agyeman-Duah got the scoring started with a goal scored with 17:14 left before halftime off an assist from sophomore Dan Hershberger. Senior Andy Hornblower then scored his third goal of the season with 5:47 left before intermission off an assist from junior Diego Rodriguez.

 

On Saturday, Bluffton was beaten 4-1 against Rochester, Mich. Junior Jean-Paul Tiendrebeogo scored the lone goal for the Beavers and was assisted by Andrew Hornblower and Diego Rodriguez. The assist was the third of the year for Rodriguez to lead the team and Hornblower's seventh point, also tops on the team. 

 

Bluffton will be back in action Tuesday night on the road against Notre Dame (OH) at 4 p.m.
