Bluffton's eight goals against Taylor/Ft. Wayne marked the highest offensive output for the Beavers since 1994, when BC shut out Lake Erie College 9-0. BC also hit the nine-goal mark against Defiance in 1992 and set the single-game scoring record in 1989 with 10 goals in a 10-0 win over Summit Christian.

The Beavers' eight goals were contributed by five different players with two goals apiece coming from senior John Risner, junior Esuga Abaya and sophomore Caspar Agyeman-Duah and one goal apiece from junior Ryan Zeman and sophomore Ricky Stoner. Also contributing to the Beaver scoring effort were senior Andrew Hornblower, freshman Kevin Bicker and freshman David Lanka, who had one assist apiece. Abaya and Agyeman-Duah also had an assist.

Hornblower leads the team in scoring with 14 points on six goals and two assist and is followed closely by Agyeman-Duah, who has 12 points on five goals and two assists. Juniors John Lindow and Abaya each have nine points, Lindow has four goals and one assist and Abaya has three goals and three assists.

Junior Derek Steman leads the team with 142 saves on 264 shots and recorded his first shut-out of the season in the Taylor game.

The Beavers have two games remaining, both conference games, needing two wins to get a bid into the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament and a chance to qualify for the NCAA tournament. On Thursday the 31st the Beavers travel to Anderson to take on the Ravens in a 3 p.m. start time. Then the Beavers will close out their season at home Saturday against Hanover at 1 p.m.
