BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team (1-5) completely dominated Cincinnati Bible College (1-5-2) in every aspect of the game on Tuesday. The final result was a 7-1 victory for the Beavers first win of 2004.

"The seniors are starting to show leadership and demanding everyone to step up," head coach Steve Smucker said.  The leadership was very evident as senior Caspar Agyeman-Duah (Fairfield, OH) and senior Chad Perry(Findlay/Dover) scored two goals each.  Perry and Agyeman-Duah started the game out fast by scoring three goals in the first fifteen minutes.  "The first twenty minutes of the game were key for us; normally we come out of the gate slow and then pick it up in the second half," said Smucker.

With the seniors stepping up, it was onto the underclassmen to follow the lead.  SophomoreJustin Rohrer (Millersburg/West Holmes) scored a goal and an assist with freshman Ray Voelker (Newbury/Newbury) stepping up with two assists in the second half.

The Beavers scored four goals in the second half with a goal a piece from sophomore Sean Bichsel (Plain City/Jonathan Alder) and freshman Adrian Scarpella (St. Mary's/Memorial).

The Beavers will be back in action on September 30 at home against Urbana College. Start time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
