BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team (2-7, 1-1 HCAC) lost to Manchester College (2-6-3, 1-0-1 HCAC) 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Beavers didn't show much excitement on the field as head coach Steve Smucker said, "We played poorly today and didn't train real well yesterday. Manchester is a solid team, but we didn't give them the game we could which is very disappointing."
The few bright spots that the Beavers had came from freshman Ray Voelker(Newbury/Newbury) who had the lone goal. The assist on the goal came from freshman Tyler Chapman (Shreve/Triway). Sophomore goalie Ryan Thomas (Jamestown/Greeneview) had four saves for the Beavers.
Bluffton will back in action this Saturday as they travel to Anderson University. Scheduled start time is 12:30 p.m.
