BLUFFTON, Ohio -The Bluffton University men's soccer team (5-10, 1-3 HCAC) dropped a defensive struggle 2-0 to the Spartans of Manchester (5-8-2, 3-1 HCAC) on October 19, 2005.

Defense ruled the day as the Spartans netted one goal in each half to come away with the 2-0 victory over the Beavers in Heartland conference action at Manchester. Junior goalkeeper RYAN THOMAS (Jamestown/Greenview) deflected five Spartan shots to keep Bluffton close, but the Beavers could not find the net against an improving Manchester squad.

Bluffton will return to action on Saturday, October 22 when it hosts Hanover in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
