Bluffton falls to CCU at home, 4-0

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Cincinnati Christian University men's soccer team kept its record spotless at 20-0 with a 4-0 victory over Bluffton on Wednesday, October 25, 2006. The Beavers fell to 3-12 on the season with the non-conference loss at home.

With the defenses ruling throughout most of the first half, CCU hit paydirt in minute 44 when JEREMY ENIX found the back of the goal on his shot from the box.

Less than 10 minutes into the second half, Enix tacked on his second goal of the game, putting CCU up 2-0 in minute 54.

DREW ROBERTS freed himself with 18 minutes to play and gave Cincinnati a three-goal advantage with his shot from the box.

In minute 79, Enix found the back of the net again, completing his hat trick and helping CCU to a 4-0 victory over the Beavers.

Bluffton took 12 shots compared to 11 for CCU, however, eight of CCU's shots were on goal and four of them found the back of the net. The Beavers earned five corner kicks and limited the Golden Eagles to just one.

LOUIS CANCASCI (Twinsburg/Twinsburg) and DANIEL TINCH (Middletown/Madison) led the Beavers with three shots apiece, including two on goal. RYAN THOMAS(Jamestown/Greenview) notched four saves in the loss.

Bluffton travels to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, October 28, to face the Lions in the final Heartland Conference contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Cincinnati.
