Sept. 29, 2008

BLUFFTON, Ohio - NATE FLATH (Wadsworth/Wadsworth) has been named men's soccer Player of the Week for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the week ending Sept. 28, 2008.

Flath led the Beavers to a pair of victories during the week as Bluffton (4-3-1) is off to its best start since 1999. The senior midfielder came off the bench to score a goal and dish out three assists against Taylor-Ft. Wayne in limited action on Tuesday night. He followed that performance with a pair of goals, including a penalty kick, in Bluffton's 3-2 win at Mt. St. Joseph on Saturday afternoon.

For the season Flath ranks second in the HCAC with 14 total points, trailing fellow Beaver Jacob Graham who tops the conference with seven goals and 15 points.

The Beavers will return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 30, when they host Mount Union at 4 p.m.
